Lukashenka about doping: No need to shout from rooftops if not caught red-handed

Although he seemingly backed the Russia team, the International Olympic Committee took exactly the very decision Lukashenka was speaking about.  

The Russians athlets not involved in the doping scandal will be able to take part in the Winter Olympic Games as individual contenders. For example, Russia's ice hockey team will use the opportunity.

Lukashenka also recalled the unfair disqualification of Belarusian rowers before the summer Olympics in Rio. “We managed to be acquitted in court 2 or 3 months later but it was already too late,” he said. The country lost its chance to win medals and its image was also damaged, Lukashenka added.
