Lukashenka accepts Zelensky's invitation

Belarus President Aliaksandr Lukashenka has accepted an invitation from his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to visit Ukraine in the autumn. Euroradio reported earlier that Ukraine Ambassador in Minsk Igor Kizim on 3 July said that Zelensky had officially invited Lukashenka to visit the 2nd Forum of Regions of Ukraine and Belarus to take place in the of Zhytomyr in central Ukraine.
"We have received a number of positive signals from the Ukraine president. As you know, Volodymyr Zelensky has invited Aliaksandr Lukashenka to attend the Forum of Regions in Zhytomyr. Our president has confirmed his participation. This will become an event of highest importance in our bilateral relations," Belarusian state news agency BELTA quotes Belarusian Ambassador in Kyiv Ihar Sokal as saying.
This will be the first-ever meeting of the two presidents.
