Lukashenka: Dazhynki to change format
He will invite Dazhynki heroes to the Independence Palace.
The Republican festival and fair of village workers is useful for the country because “it has helped put small and big towns in order”, the President announced on Monday. However, “there are certain drawbacks” in the format of Dazhynki, Alyaksandr Lukashenka thinks. He is embarrassed by the fact that we know the crop capacity but have no idea about the gross sales and enterprises’ income at the beginning of autumn.
It would be better to award the best agrarians at the beginning of the year in the Independence Palace, Lukashenka thinks.
It has been decided to organize district Dazhynki in agro-towns. They will be put in order in 10-12 years this way, the President thinks. Regional festivals will be held in district centres, BELTA reports.
