Lukashenka offers Aliyev new areas of cooperation
Head of Belarus Aliaksandr Lukashenka has offered his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev new ideas and directions for bilateral cooperation. He said that during the talks on November 28 in Minsk, where the Azerbaijani leader came on an official visit.
Lukashenka noted that Belarus and Azerbaijan did not allow significant reduction of mutual trade turnover, but he thinks that it is necessary to increase economic cooperation, including in third countries. Among other things, Lukashenka proposed to consider cooperative opportunities in the fields of petrochemicals, energy and agriculture. The Belarusian leader also talked about counter deliveries of tobacco and cigarettes, on cooperation in the sphere of information technologies.
Lukashenka called a success the joint project with Azerbaijan on assembling of Belarusian tractors MTZ, MAZ and MZKT at Ganja Automobile Plant. Since 2007, it has collected more than 6 thousand "Belarus" tractors and about 3 thousand cars and trailers, BelTA reports.
