Lukashenka: Plane ready to take off 3 times faster than in Russia (video)
The President has visited the 61st air base in Baranavichy today.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka checked combat readiness at the air base.
"Order him to fly and check how long it will take him to take off,” he told Minister of Defense Yury Zhadobin. “Air!” commanded Zhadobin.
"I wanted to check how fast they could get ready and take off,” BELTA quotes Lukashenka. “It took them 6 minutes and 30 seconds.” The norm is 18 minutes in Russia and 15 – in Ukraine, he said.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka spoke about the modernization of the Belarusian army. He is going “to check its combat readiness” soon.
