Lukashenka signs Emmanuel Zeltzer’s pardon
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has signed the pardon of an American citizen Emmanuel Zeltzer today.
The head of the President’s press service Pavel Lyohki has confirmed the information. An American Senator Benjamin Cardin told Minsk journalists that Lukashenka had promised to release imprisoned Emmanuel Zeltzer a few hours before.
Zeltzer’s lawyer Dzmitry Harachka is in Mahileu colony #15 now; his client is serving his sentence there. According to him, the administration of the colony has not received any information about the release of Zeltzer, informs BelaPAN.
Let us remind you that Zeltzer was sentenced to three years of imprisonment for using fake documents and commercial spying attempts in August 2008.
