Lukashenka in Turkmenistan for gas -- not milk -- talks
Belarus' leader Alexander Lukashenka on June 17 is to pay an official visit to Turkmenistant. A packege of bilateral documents are expected to be signed. Political commentator Yury Shevtsov told the European Radio for Belarus that the exports of the Belarusian milk to Turkmenistan would not domintate the negotiations:
"The visit was planned well long before the 'milk dispute'. The major focus of the visit is gas not milk, although dairy products will also be mentioned. But we need gas from Turkmenistan".
The Belapan news agency reminds that Turkmenistan exports mainly petrochemical and textile industry products to Belarus, while our country exports machinery, transport, foodstuffs and chemical products.
