Lukashenka: We can make wages like in Europe
The majority of the population does not want market prices for social services, Alexander Lukashenka said when visiting a sanatorium near Lake Narach in northern Belarus.
"We can make (wages) like in Europe, but you will paya full cost like they do. If people want to get $1500-2000 per month in wages, let's give them. But, you will pay the real price for services", Lukashenka said when meeting local residents.
Belapan news agency reports the head of the state noted it would take one or to years to switch to market prices, but people did not want such changes.
