Lukashenka: We created one-man-for-one-seat system, there is no competition
The state leader has made a number of appointments and commented on economic and political issues today, on January 23.
He mentioned “the necessity of creating some political force in the form of the leading party in Belarus.”
He would not mind such a party, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said.
Lukashenka: “Do we lack some leading political party for a full-fledged civil and political life in our country? I would not mind if some political force helped us work with the personnel. I believe that this issue should be addressed during these election events. But it does not mean that we will create some artificial party like the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. It would be really bad.”
“A system created by the government’s vertical is a one-man-for-one-seat system,” Lukashenka noted. There is “no competition” which is “bad”, the state leader said.
