Lukashenka's Rolls-Royce spotted at filling station on M1 highway
A photo appeared on the internet depicting a Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe with "presidential" number plates 001BY at a fuel filling station on the M1 highway. The car was obviously escorted by a special traffic police detail. Tut.by reports the photograph was initially published in a closed webchat.
As it is seen on the photo, the vehicle was parked on a parking spot for disabled drivers.
The depicted car became part of Aliaksandr Lukashenka's fleet back in 2009, according to tut.by.
Rolls-Roys Phantom Coupe is manufactured since 2008. The 2.5-ton vehicle can accelerate up to 100 kmh within 5.8 seconds. The maximum speed is limited electronically at the level of 250 kmh.
The price depends on the customer, because it is 100% tailor-made. For example, an used vehicle, manufactured in 2008, can be bought today for 169 000 euros. A 2011 car will cost up to 380 000 euros.
