Magiliou human rights center under suspension threat

Magiliou human rights center can be closed. Chief Justice Department of Magiliou Regional Executive Committee issued an official warning to the organization. The reason being the lack of a legal address. Landlord's family decided to terminate the lease with human rights defenders. The latter say there was some pressure on the family.

Human rights activist Barys Buhel believes that if in the near future they do not find a new legal address, they could receive a subpoena to the court to suspend the activities of the Magiliou human rights center.

Problems with the legal address of the only officially registered in Belarus local human rights organization have been there for several years now. Last time human rights center was left without a legal address was in late 2014.
