Mahileu “Beltelecam” lays off a lot of employees
The administration of Mahileu “Beltelecam” has obliged heads of structural departments to give the majority of their employees unpaid leaves, reports “Interfax-West”.
This, the affiliate will have to lay off 676 employees this month. The main staff reduction will affect the technical exploitation centre, after-sales service, the commercial service and the transport area.
Employees have been offered to take unpaid leaves in September for family reasons. The decision is explained by the necessity to fulfill the average staff plan.
"Beltelecam" is the national telecoms operator in Belarus and is a monopolist in the field of intercity and international roaming and the outer access to the Internet. The number of the company’s employees is about 12 thousand people.
