Man who threatened to pour acid in Velcom office to be put on trial
The man is currently in custody.
On March 26, the prosecutor's office of the Partyzanski district in Minsk referred the criminal case of a 55-year-old man to court. He is being accused of false reports about the danger filed twice, BelTA reports.
According to the investigation, on 29 and 30 December 2014, the man several times used his cell phone to call the Velcom center. The man threatened that on 30 December he would come to the Velcom sales center and scatter bleach indoors and at the adjacent territory. He also threatened to use an unknown acid and burn the equipment.
The offices were checked by rescuers and police. Operations at four office of Velcom in Minsk were stopped for a while. The company's losses from the suspension of the activities amounted to more than 26.6 million rubles.
The man was taken into custody. Incidentally, he has already been convicted in August 2013.
