MEP Zdrojewski: One Lukashenka’s negative action won’t bring sanctions back
Polish MEP Bogdan Zdrojewski has explained what could bring the EU sanctions imposed on Belarusian officials back.
One negative step made by the Belarusian authorities will not bring the sanctions back but will produce a negative effect on Belarus-EU approximation, the European politician explained.
"The release of political prisoners is a good decision, I noted not long ago. However, it is not clear whether Belarus without political prisoners is a permanent or temporary thing?” Zdrojewski claimed. If Minsk makes a few steps discrediting the policy of warming, it may bring the sanctions back, he thinks.
This year’s parliamentary election in Belarus will be the main indicator, Zdrojewski noted.
