MFA: Too early to discuss U.S. Ambassador's return to Belarus

The US Ambassador will not arrive in Belarus anytime soon, MFA spokesperson Anatol Hlaz told Radio Liberty when asked to comment on the recent reports on social media.
"Two months ago, Foreign Minister mentioned the return of the US Ambassador. It will take a lot of time, he said. There are some problems and technical issues that need to be solved,” the diplomat explained.
On 4 March, Belarus officially lifted the decade-long restriction on the number of U.S. diplomats working in Minsk when Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei met with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent.
