Mikhalevich still accused of 'mass riots'
Ex-presidential candidate of 2010 Ales Mikhalevich remains accused in the organization of mass disorder. He faces from 5 to 15 years in prison.
Mikhalevich returned to Belarus on September 8 - after the release of political prisoners. Here, on December 19, 2010, he filed a petition for dismissal of the "mass riots" criminal case against him. But the investigation denied his petition.
After that Mikhalevich appealed to the prosecutor's office. But the prosecutor's office forwarded the complaint to the Investigation Committee, Radio Liberty reports. The Investigation Committee found no violations in its actions and left the former candidate in the status of the accused.
