Budget to get about Br5 trillion on foreign currency fee
The fee will be in force until February 1, 2015.
The budget is expected to make about 5 trillion roubles on it, deputy Minister of Finance Maksim Yermalovich said.
"The foreign currency purchase fee will be in power until February 1, 2015. It is about 20 days at the stock exchange and the profit will be about 5 trillion roubles,” BELTA quotes the official.
The income that will be made on the foreign currency fee was not taken into account in the budget, Yermnalovich said. This is a temporary measure and there is no sense to change the budget now, he believes.
The foreign currency purchase fee for legal and physical entities was introduced in Belarus on December 20. The government and the National Bank explained it by the keen demand for dollars and euro in the internal money market.
