Minsk activist arrested for preventive detentions leaflets
Aleh Kerol was detained near the National Library on the evening of May 13.
He was pasting stickers to express solidarity with the activists detained before the hockey championship.
Aleh Kirol managed to inform human rights defenders that he was being delivered to Minsk Pershamaiski District Department of the Interior, Radio Liberty reports. He will probably stand trial in Minsk Pershamaiski District Court.
The Belarusian authorities organized ‘a political clean-up’ and detained opposition atavists before the world championship. About 30 people were arrested in the past two weeks in Belarus. They were accused of petty hooliganism and disobedience to the police and jailed for 10-25 days.
