Minsk Mayor announces new power-saving plans
Minsk Mayor Mikalai Ladutska on Thursday unveiled new plans to save electricity in the Belarusian capital. The official said power consumption should be reduced by 50 percent in the next five years. Minsk did not meet last year's energy-consumption targets, just like it has not meeting the targets this year so far. However, energy-saving targets for 2009-2010 should be met by early next year, he demanded.
