More than 18 thousand people visited Minsk museums in 2008. According to BelTA, it is 4 thousands more than in 2007.
54 expositions were organized in museums during the year. The most interesting expositions were the one dated for the 100th anniversary of Zair Arhur, the 70th anniversary of a Belarusian people’s artist Vasil Sheranhovich and the 85th anniversary of Leanid Shchamyalyou. A series of expositions “Minsk as viewed by painters” was also popular.
