Names of riot police who shot at Maidain protesters revealed in Ukraine
Over 20 members of the so-called ‘black company’ are suspected bu Ukrainian investigators in connection with the shootings in Maidan one year ago.
The names of all Berkut members who shot at protesters have been revealed. 39 participants of peaceful protest actions were killed and at least 8 people were injured by Berkut members on February 20, 2014.
Investigators detained two Berkut members earlier. 20 more members of the so-called ‘black company’ are suspected.
Two suspects were detained on February 23 and the others are wanted now. They are going to be arrested and taken to court to decide on their measure of detention.
Investigators conducted over 20 searches in Kiev and six Ukrainian oblasts. Additional information about Berkut members’ connection with the crimes was acquired.
The investigation is still in process.
