National Bank: There will be no sudden devaluation in Belarus in 2010
There will be no sudden devaluation in Belarus in 2010. The head of the chief department for regulation and currency control of the Belarusian National Bank Anatol Maroz has claimed it. The representative of the National Bank has noted that the devaluation of the ruble in 2010 is being conducted in the framework of the Main direction of the monetary and credit policy.
BelTA refers to him and informs that there is an agreement between Belarus and the International Monetary Fund. The IMF arrives every three months to check everything. The National Bank does not have the right to exceed the planned plus-minus 10%. That is why there will be no sudden devaluation as there was in 2009, says Maroz.
