NATO to discuss Russian nuclear threat
The Alliance Ministers of Defence (Expect for the French Minister of Defence) will take part in the discussion.
The Ministers will meet in February to discuss the potential nuclear threat that may come from Russia, Deutsche Welle refers to German mass media.
The Ministers of Defence of all NATO member states except France will gather at the meeting. The frequent flights of Russian strategic bombers in North and East Europe will be discussed.
A report containing the analysis of the threats was prepared in Brussels a few weeks ago. France is not a member of the nuclear planning group and separate consultations will be conducted with it later.
NATO fighters made 150 flights to identify Russian bombers in 2014. It is four times more than last year.
