New oilfield discovered in Homel Region
A new oilfield named “Geological” has been discovered at the border of Svetlahorsk and Rechytsa Districts of Homel Region. Specialists continue examining the well to assess the product stock in the oilfield.
BelTA reports that light oil which is rather expensive was discovered 4400-4500 meters underground. It is claimed that the new oilfield “will not be regarded small”. Furthermore, the prospect of other Palesse territories thought to have no oilfields will be reconsidered.
