Night of Museums in Minsk (photo report)
The Night of Museums was organized in Belarus on May 21. Traditionally, the majority of museums worked until midnight. However, there were some exceptions. People could attend the visual performance Prism of Urbanism in Azgur Museum until 5 a.m.
There were no crowds and queues this year. It may be explained by the fact that a ticket cost 125 thousand roubles. Most people chose one or two museums. There were numerous actions organized in museums. For example, people could listen to music and play Mafia in the Museum of History of Theatre and Musical Culture.
The programme Night of Museums was dated for the 100th anniversary of Yanka Kupala and Uladzislava Stankevich’s marriage at the Yanka Kupala Museum. Numerous couples marking their marriage anniversaries gathered there.
Warriors from different epochs and countries met in the Archeological Museum. They were ‘fighting’ and teaching the present to fence.
The National Art Museum opened a new building for expositions, organized a number of performances, meditations, games and invited musicians and bands (Nagual, Chatte Noir, Tomato jam and Lumiere Tales).
