No bilateral meeting between Lukashenka and Putin in Astana
The Belarusian leader went to Kazakhstan on a two-day working visit.
The two-day working visit of Alyaksandr Lukashenka to Kazakhstan is over. On March 19, he held talks with President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and on March 20 he participated in a tripartite meeting with Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin. There was no personal meeting between Lukashenka and Putin, Radio Liberty reported.
At the end of today's trilateral meeting, Lukashenka pointed out that to solve the problem of reduced turnover (last year decline in EAEC was 15-16%), it is necessary to fill the market of the Eurasian Economic Union with the goods of local origin. Nazarbayev proposed to develop a joint action plan to overcome the crisis in the economies of the three countries. Vladimir Putin said that it was time to speak "about the possibility of forming a monetary union in the future".
The president also said that on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazism leaders of the three countries must demonstrate their unity.
