N Korea unveils home-made cell phone
Photos of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un inspecting a mobile phone assembly line have been aired on the country's state-run television.
Kim Jong-un reportedly highly assessed the work done by North Korean scientists who created the sensor phone Ariran.
“The cell phone looks good, is light and has all the necessary functions for contacts and studies,” Kim Jong-un noted.
North Korea claimed to have 2 million cell phone users earlier, RIA Novosti reports. North Korean citizens can phone, receive phone calls, send and receive SMS. However, international phone calls are blocked.
