Number of day: 11% of newly printed books are in Belarusian

Only 10-11% of newly printed books are in Belarusian, Minister of Information Liliya Ananich told BelaPAN. The main printing houses that print books in Belarusian are Mastatskaya Litaratura, Zvyazda, Belaruskaya Navuka, NArodnaya Asveta, Aversev, Chatyury Chvertsi and Bely Vetser.
31.2 million books were printed in Belarus last year. The number has increased by 1.5% and the printrun has decreased by 0.5%. On average, there are three new books per citizen.
Only 3.4 million books were printed in Belarusian.
