Nyaklyaeu to run for Belarus presidency 'if needed'
The leader of Speak the Truth! civil campaign Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu does not rule out running again for Belarusian president's office.
In comments to BelaPAN news agency, Nyaklyaeu said he was not sure the opposition would eventuall come up with a single candidate for the next presidential polls in 2015.
He stressed responsibility would be huge for all those contending for the presidency. "If they lose, it will be much more difficult for them than for those who were running in 2010," Nyaklyaeu reckoned. He explained his reasoning by the growing role of Russia in Belarus in connection with the Eurasian Union treaty.
Nyakluyaeu stressed he had no principal disagreements with other opposition initiatives, in particular with the For Fair Elections coalition, which unites United Civil Party, Belarusian Party of the Left "A Just World" and several other political groupings.
