Official Minsk expects Russian gas price to decrease
Belarus expects a major decrease in the prices for Russian gas in March, vice PM Uladzimir Syamashka said in the programme Contours on ONT. It will allow decreasing the tariffs for the real sector of the Belarusian economy, he said. It will help create more or less equal conditions for our enterprises in their relations with the Russian ones.
Energy resources are sometimes twice as expensive for Belarusian enterprises, the official said. The cost of energy resources increased from 4.4% to 8% in the prime cost, he added.
This issue was discussed at the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Union State, Syamashka said. Russia accepted Belarus’ arguments as regards the decrease of the gas prices. The problem may be solved in March, the vice PM thinks.
