Official unemployment rate down to 0.9%
The official unemployment rate dropped 0.1% in September down to 0.9% on October 1 in Belarus. The official unemployment rate was 1 % la year ago. BELTA refers to the head of the employment policy department for the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection Aleh Takun.
Then index was suspected to reach 2% at the end of the year, the specialist noted.
The number of citizens registered in employment centres has been decreasing for five months on end. 40 265 people were looking for a job there as of October 1 – this is 7.9% less than a year ago. It can be explained by the fact that a lot of people had a chance to do seasonal jobs and by the active creation of professional education groups.
