Opposition action in central Minsk (video)
Activists turn on neon lights composed of "SHOS" letters near Lido cafe in Jakub Kolas square in central Minsk.
In the evening of Aprl 3, several activists powered a bunch of neon lights that read SHOS - an abbriviation that is known among Belarusian opposition as Let Him Sit in Jail referring to President Lukashenka - in central Jakub Kolas square. The lights however did not survive for a long time, as the police were soon at the site to confiscate the wires.
Nasha Niva reports the action was staged by members of Zmiena youth pressure group, the youth wing of Speak the Truth civil campaign.
