Opposition members in Brest denied airtime on television

Larysa Dabradomava, the director of the Brest television and radio company, has responded to a letter from local opposition activists that the programming had already been planned for one year ahead. The opposition members were seeking airtime in order to discuss the political and social problems in the region and the country.  A letter to the Brest television was signed by the heads of the local branches of the Belarusian Popular Front, the United Civic Party, Belarusian Social Democratic Party, the Party of Communists and Belarusian Free Trade Union.

The oppositionists were very surprised by the answer of Ms Dabradomava.
