OSCE confirms Russia’s participation in Donets Basin conflict
Russian troops’ participation in the conflict has been officially confirmed for the first time.
International observers attended ‘preliminary negotiations’ between Ukrainian and Russian officers in Saledar on Friday, OSCE mission press secretary Michael Batyurkiu told NEWS.israelinfo.ru.
The Russian MFA also made a report about the negotiations and refuted the information about Russian military men’s participation in the negotiations about ‘the buffer zone’ between the self-declared republics and the Ukrainian Army. According to the Kremlin, Russia participated in the negotiations as an intermediary.
Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Segei Lavrov discussed the problem of mass graves near Donetsk with Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon , OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier and OSCE head Didier Burkhalter.
