Over ten years, 57 Belarusians died in the battles for Ukraine, reports the charitable foundation "Free Belarus". Previously, smaller numbers were called. For example, in November 2023, the head of the United Transitional Cabinet Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya said that at least 40 Belarusian volunteers had died in Ukraine since 2014. It is known that 20 people died from 2014 to February 24, 2022. After the beginning of the full-scale aggression of Russia, Kalinousky regiment alone lost 20 people. It is known that Belarusians who fought in other units also lost their lives in Ukraine.
"Free Belarus" organizes exhibitions dedicated to the fallen Belarusian volunteers under the title "With Ukraine in my heart". Now such an exhibition is being held in Chernihiv. Its opening was attended by representatives of the local military and civil administration.
The names of some of the fallen volunteers have not yet been revealed. A separate stand with dark silhouettes is dedicated to such fighters at the exhibition.
