Paintings worth €1 million stolen in 2 minutes in Brussels
Several valuable paintings have been stolen from the Van Buuren Museum.
The thieves simply broke a window to get inside, RBK reports referring to Speigel. The alarm went off and the police arrived quickly. However, the robbers were quicker: they got away with the paintings in less than 2 minutes.
Paintings by James Ensor and Kees van Dongen are among the missing masterpieces. They are worth €1 million 200 thousand.
The Van Buuren Museum has a good collection of masterpieces painted by Medieval Flemish and Italian painters and well as modern works.
