Upper house speaker: EU not ready for constructive cooperation with Belarus
The speaker of the National Assembly's upper house, the Council of the Republic Anatol Rubinau lashes out at EU over "lack of constructive stance".
According to Rubinau, quotes BelaPAN, the ordinary resolutions issued by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on Belarus are full of ideologically biased stereotypes and demonstrate that "the EU is not ready to proceed to constructive positions with regards to Belarus."
He added, the sanctions, that remain a disgrace for the civilized world, are still in force against Belarus.
"Also, the actions of some Russian businessmen, politicians of the business demonstrate again how difficult it is for us to defend our economic interests," noted the Chairman of the Council of Republic.
