Pavel Vinahradau not free after serving 10-day arrest
Relatives and friends today waited in vain for the Zmiena youth pressure group activist to leave the detention center's building in Minsk.
Vinahradau's friend Aliaksandr Barazenka told Euroradio:
“We were in Akrescina street some 20-30 minutes before the expected time of release. However, we could not see him as the adminstration told us he was not in there. Together with Pavel's wife Sviatlana we are heading to the court. Other friends are going to the police station to look for him there.”
Pavel Vinahradau was detained on August 24 and charged with public swearing. He was sentenced to 10 days in prison later. On the eve of the detention, Pavel told reporters that Zmiena had hoisted around 100 white-red-white flags in Minsk streets.
