Police begin hunt for opposition activists in Minsk

Apart from detained Zmicier Dashkevich and Palina Dzyakava, the police also target Vyachaslau Siuchyk, the leader of Razam (Together) solidarity movement. Siuchyk was not at home when police agents came to his apartment.  Belapan reports that the police also attempted to detain Mikola Dzemidzenka who is Vital Rymasheuski's trustee. They made insistent phone calls to his aprtment and interviewed neighbors. Dzemidzenka managed to leave his apartment only in the company of presidential candidate Rymasheuski and his several trustees.

Another activist with Belarusian Christian Democracy was less lucky. Kanstantsin Zhukouski was detained when he was leaving the office of the party's organizing committee. He was taken to an unknown location.
