Police to give money for protecting Charnobylski Shlyakh to children's home
However, the head of the Minsk police did not name a specific institution that will get the money.
On April 23, organizers of the Charnobylski Shlyakh met with the leadership of the Minsk Police. Policemen require the applicants to pay a more than 10 million rubles for the protection of the rally.
Co-chairman of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democratic Party, Vital Rymasheuski, said that at the earlier rallies all provocations we started by the police - uniformed and plain clothes. The head of the Minsk police, Alyaksandr Barsukou, warned that rally will not be permitted unless the applicants will transfer money for protection.
Rymasheuski: "As a result, Barsukou said: all the money we receive at the police department will be transfered to an orphanage. In such circumstances, we have agreed to sign this paper to have Charnobylski Shlyakh and not to have it disrupted."
Overall, one of the orphanages will receive more than 10 million rubles, which will be transfered by participants of the Charnobylski Shlyakh.
Barsukou would not name a concrete orphanage, which will get the money. However, he promised that this information will be released for the public.
The rally will take place on Sunday, 26 April. Participants will gather near the Kastrychnik cinema from 14.00 to 14.30. The march permitted until the Chernobyl Chapel, will be held from 14.30 to 16.00.
