Police will disperse protest actions - Interior minister

The police will react to law violations in the form of unauthorized actions depending on the situation. If necessary, they will ‘increase their power and opportunities’, Minister of Internal Affairs told Euroradio. It was this answer to the question whether the police will stick to the practice of dispersing actions like on Freedom Day.
Shunevich: “We will react to law violations only. We have always done. The number and strength of our resources depends of the situation and the possibility of negative consequences. There is nothing unnatural about the increase of power and opportunities to prevent damage to the civil order and civil relations in connection with some events including political ones.”
Answering the question how the police could have missed ‘the creation of an illegal armed unit’ in our county, Shunevich told journalists to ask KGB about it.
