Presentation on Euroradio: 'Numerals' from Drum Ecstasy, track #2
The song was composed and recorded during the latest Israel-Palestine war and is called '12/8 Palestine'.
Drum Ecstasy present the second tarck of their mini-album 'Numerals' -'12/8 Palestine' here on Euroradio.
"The initial name was '12/8', but windows blocks names with slashes and other symbols," leader of the band Philip Chmyr explains the complicated name of the song. "So we thought of another name: the song was writted and rehearsed during the latest Israel-Palestine war, and turned out to be a little nervous. We decided to name it 'Palestine'."
Drum Ecstasy present their new EP "Numerals" on Euroradio. The material for the EP was recorded a year ago and was supposed to be a soundtrack to a movie.
"When we just started working with the material, we saw that all songs were connected with some numerals," leader of the drummers Philip Chmyr explains the name of the mini-album. "One, tow, three, four", "5/4", "12/8", the headliner "Dise" - all of them are dice. So, the name came easily".
Philip underlines that the numeric concept of the EP turned up accidentally, the same as the concerts of Drum Ecstasy in five cities: Moscow, St.Petersburg, Vilnius, Kyiv, where the drummers will support the "Lyapis Trubetskoy" gig, and Minsk.
Drum Ecstasy plan to unite the release of the "Numerals" with publication of their back-catalogue on "Yandex.Music".
Drum Ecstasy is a music of drums, electric drills and electric saws, a vivid industrial rave that explodes people's minds and drags the laziest club goers to the dance floor.
