I can't hear you - presidential administration official on new tariffs (Audio)
Council of the Republic and the government have already prepared the documents necessary for the adoption of the presidential decree on the new tariffs for housing and communal services. This said by chairman of the upper house of parliament, Mikhail Myasnikovich, during a meeting on 2 March with the staff of Vitsebsk Medical University. On the morning of March 3, we tried to find out the details and called the Presidential Administration's press service.
- Good afternoon
- Hello
- My name is Illya Malinousky, a journalist of Euroradio. I want to double-check, whether there is information about the new tariffs for housing and utilities?
- (silence ... after a couple of seconds, the source coughs, then another slight pause) I can't hear you very well - (busy tone).
Nobody answered the second call.
On February 22, Aliaksandr Lukashenka instructed the State Control Committee, the Council of Ministers and the Presidential Administration to prepare by 1 March a new calculation of tariffs for housing and communal services. But on that day, no authorities mentioned it. And on March 2 Myasnikovich returned to the subject:
"According to the proposals that have already been developed (although I cannot confirm that they will be adopted), there are limitations for the poor economic entities and households, said Myasnikovich . If the HUS payments in the city exceed 20% of the total family income (including pensioners, students and so on), then all spendings over this number will be compensated from the budget, and the limit in rural areas, which include the majority of regional centers, is 15%"
