Problem Brest enterprises switch to full workweek
Brest Region’s problem enterprises are switching back to the full workweek. Brest chemical plant and clothes factories “Elma” and “Nadzeya” already function five days a week.
“It has happened in connection with an increase in sales”, - has explained “Tsvetatron” to ERB. Only “Brest carpets” still uses a shortened workweek.
The return to the normal schedule is explained by an increase in the export to Russia.
At least the administration of “Elma” gives such an explanation.
In some experts’ opinion, the simultaneous opening of the Russian market may be Moscow’s payment for the large-scale maneuvers “West-2009” and for the intention to recognize the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
