Prominent opposition activist detained in Minsk

Nearly 150 people on Sunday gathered in Freedom Square near the Holy Spirit Cathedral in central Minsk in protest to the removal of the crosses at the Stalin-era mass execution victoms' memorial in Kurapaty. The demonstrators held a prayer led by a priest.
A prominent opposition activist, Mikalai Statkevich, was detained before the protest.
