Putin agrees to work with new Ukrainian government
Russia will be ready for a dialogue with the new Ukrainian government after May 25.
The Russian President announced it at Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. “We are working with the people controlling the state now and will work with the newly elected structures after the election too,” RBK quotes Vladimir Putin. ”
Putin was asked if Russia was ready to cooperate with Petro Poroshenko if he won the presidential election. Russia will be ready to cooperate with him if Ukraine pays the $3.5 billion debt for gas after his victory, Putin replied.
Russia must respect the Ukrainian people’s choice that will be made on May 25, Putin added.
