120 thousands for hostel,250 – for night at sobering-up sobering-up station
12 people were taken to the sobering-up station in Homel on the first day of the introduction of new tariffs.
“People were delivered here on April 1. There are 12 of them now. As of April 1, they have to pay 250 thousands per night”, - informs Homel sobering-up station.
If a drunkard does not have the money, a complaint will be sent to their place of work. If it doesn’t help, the money will be recovered in court.
As of April 1, trade school colleges will cost 16 thousands a month. University students will pay from 40 to 120 thousands. The most expensive hostel used to cost 105 thousands.
However, but for the decree signed by the Council of Ministers two days (!) before April 1, hostels would have become thrice more expensive!
“Corridor system hotels cost 1 base amount, block hostels – 2 and apartment hostels – 3. There has been no decree in connection with the increase of the base amount…”, - informed the BSU campus a day (!) before the increase of the base amount.
The Council of Ministers decided to triple the base amount in December 2011… It took three (!) months to discuss and approve the decision to reduce the cost of hostels. And it was published only on the evening of April 30 – a day before the increase of the base amount!
“My scholarship is 460 thousands now. It will not be a big restriction even if I have to pay 100 thousands”, - says Natallya, medical university student, answering my question about new hostel prices.
By the way, the cheapest room in the hotel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs costs 195 thousands, reports belhotel.by. It is 50 thousands cheaper than a night at a sobering-up station.
