1500 Belarusians ask for political asylum in EU last year
The UNO High Commissioner for Refugees has made a corresponding report.
According to the statistical data, 441 300 refugees asked for political asylum in 44 "industrial countries" in 2011. The majority of them are Afghans, Chinese and Iraqis. 1 441 Belarusians asked for political asylum in Europe (there were 941 people in 2010).
According to the information provided by Radio Liberty, 90 people asked for asylum in our country.
