30 people attend May 1 meeting in Bangalore Square
The authorized May-day meeting was organized by national Bolshevists and communists. The left have not been allowed to organize a manifestation from the Academy
of Sciences this year.
Representatives of the steering committee for the creation of the National-Bolshevist Party in Belarus and the republican association “For the Union and the Union’s Communist Party” adopted a resolution after the meeting. According to the resolution, all patriotic forces of the Republic of Belarus have to unite to resist the U.S. pressure and the military and political elite of the global capital – the USA, the European Union and Russian oligarchs.
Moreover, the left expressed solidarity with the peoples who had to take up arms to protect their independence and stop the economic expansion. The meeting participants also “insisted” on the fact that the Belarusian authorities and society had to make amendments to the constitution and the Election Code. The changes would allow preferring workers, peasants and representatives of the working, scientific, technical and creative intelligentsia during elections to the National Assembly and local councils, informs BelaPAN.
