Darya Domracheva wins World Cup gold
The Belarusian athlete managed to restore her reputation of a biathlon star at the last mass start race.
Darya Domracheva considerably improved her shooting skills - only two misses in four shootings. This let her defeat even Norway's Tora Berger who came second in this race. Poland's Monika Hojnisz came third.
Another Belarusian, Nadzeya Skardzina, got the 26th place.
The biathlon world cup in Nové Město (Czech Republic) has become
both a triumph and a catastrophe for Darya Domracheva. She failed disastrously
in the sprint race - 43rd place. She was the 25th in the pursuit race and the
33rd - in the individual 15 km race. Before the championship, Darya had had
health problems - severe food intoxication.
Nevertheless, the Belarusian biathlete finished the world championship with a
golden medal.
